As Texans, we know how to make the most of summer despite the heat: hand-cranked ice cream, Sea-World, evening gardens, Blue Bell, beaches, Schlitterbahn.
Throughout the entire storm Mamma bird sat on top of those birds in that nest, bracing herself while the winds furiously blew, and the rain poured down.
A tranquil tea garden sunk into a rock quarry through which one could meander across bridges came to a halt for a Japanese family during World War II.
I turned my daughter’s room into a flower garden by painting murals, quilting, and sewing curtains as well as a bedskirt overlayed with flowers in netting.
Now that we bought a house, I painted a garden mural in my daughter’s bedroom.
Then we chose floral fabrics for a quilt to coordinate.
