Now when Miss M visits, she looks high and low then asks with hand gestures: Where kitty? Where cat go? Despite my explanations, she keeps looking.
With this easy display of precut quilt sandwiches, I added some color to the dining area while freeing up lots of space in my small apartment.
Over the bed are gorgeous reproduction maps of Virginia in 1781 when Lafayette chased Cornwallis, resulting in the French-American Alliance victory in Yorktown.
Ccertain that this battle would result in a quick Union victory, we left Washington DC this lovely morning to Manassas to watch the battle during our picnic.
Suggesting we enjoy dessert indoors to experience that vibe, we ordered 50s style ice cream sodas…and saw all the wait staff in costume.
Entering the restaurant, I remembered vacations to north-central Pennsylvania where my mom grew up. The cooking and scenery were the same as my memories.
Patrick Henry, who says he’s from the backwoods, has a simpler plantation home than the grandness of Mount Vernon, Monticello, or Montpelier.
I turned my daughter’s room into a flower garden by painting murals, quilting, and sewing curtains as well as a bedskirt overlayed with flowers in netting.
Now that we bought a house, I painted a garden mural in my daughter’s bedroom.
Then we chose floral fabrics for a quilt to coordinate.
