Revolutionary Lafayette Treats at Liberty & Co

October 1, 2024

After the morning’s Lafayette events, I told my husband I knew where to get a free cup of coffee in celebration of Lafayette’s 1824 visit.

On my phone I’ve been seeing advertisements from an American Revolution gift shop that is treating guests to free coffee and croissants on this 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s Grand Tour.

We had to find a shop on 234 Arch St. called Liberty & Co.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

En route we saw a few historical sites, including Benjamin Franklin’s burial spot.

Continuing our walk through the old section of Philadelphia, we found Liberty & Co. across the street from the Betsy Ross house!

LIBERTY & CO.

Love all the festive bunting that works with their branding in this historic city.

This shop sells all things revolutionary!

Wow! And they obviously like Lafayette!

I’m not a fan of coffee, but their coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted, so we bought some to take home.

Love the way they price their goods!

With prices like this, we bought a few other souvenirs, too!

Check out the great history behind this shop, here.

Then we were on our way to our next historic stop!
