18th Century Virginia Musings

My photo debut in the Colonial Williamsburg calendar

May 1, 2013

I love the gorgeousness of spring in Texas with bluebonnets and in Virginia with the colorful array of bulbs, especially in the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg.

Last spring when I attended Part I of the Armoury opening, spring had sprung, so I spent a lot of time in the gardens taking photos galore!

Shortly after I arrived home, I noticed a facebook post from Colonial Williamsburg asking everyone to post their favorite spring pictures in the historic area.

To my surprise, mine was chosen to be the header photo for their facebook page for a week!

Last July the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation contacted me about using one of my photographs for their soon to be published calendar that is mailed to donors every year!

Of course I most eagerly consented!

Last October I received a few copies of the 2013 calendar which included my photo for the month of May.

So Happy May Day from me to you via the Colonial Williamsburg 2013 calendar.
