Christmas Eve Decorations and Treats with Candlelight

December 24, 2011

After Advent…

The Magi - Christmas Eve

…we enjoyed a fiesta dinner featuring the tamales that I made the day before.

I really like these gingerbread cookies hanging from the chandelier, an idea I got from my Christmas decoration book from Colonial Williamsburg.

Then we enjoyed our treats while watching It’s a Wonderful Life.

I really love this little corner for the kitchen sink where I can look out to two different spaces of the lovely outdoor views, while bedecked by my favorite flowers and gorgeous scarlet cardinals.

What a fun house to live in!

After the movie the kids each chose a gift from under the tree to open…

Then I simply sat in the quiet of the candlelight, rejoicing in our Savior.
