Looking for a fireproof plate for a candle arrangement on the Thanksgiving dinner table, I finally found a lovely one for only a couple of dollars.
Laying a tarp on top of the deck, we could hand crank ice cream below while listening to the rain drops falling around us.
Each year, these Christmas wreaths are laid at all the military cemeteries across America, through an organization called Wreaths Across America.
Near the tree comes the charming sound of clickety clacks and choo-choos from a fun train display set in Norway, another gift from the embassy.
For the remainder of the week, we’ll likely play lots of games by day and watch Christmas/New Year’s Eve combo movies each night…can’t get enough of it. 😉
Even though many decorations are up by Thanksgiving, the decorators have until Grand Illumination to finish hanging all the wreaths, which is another week away.
Although we are more used to BBQing and hand-cranking ice cream in 100 degree sunny heat in Texas than this drenched 70 degree novelty, we conquered both!
Needing to honor those who died for our freedoms, I suggested we visit Arlington National Cemetery during Memorial Day weekend.
For the first time, my daughter was highly competitive with every game, which has everything to do with her eye tracking difficulties.
