Antique Cars at Fairfax Parade for Independence Day

July 4, 2023

Amidst all the busy, we carved out some time to bring some Independence Day to our lives.

I love my dish towel collection, especially with the fresh produce from the Farmer’s Market.

Each week I anticipate the shopping trip because everything smells and tastes delicious, better than anything in any of the grocery stores.

Due to some health issues my husband has been going through, this fresh produce has been a fun boost for me to help him return to health. More on that later.

A few days early we celebrated my granddaughter’s birthday, a Yankee Doodle born on the 4th of July!

Happily, I had the house decorated with everything patriotic I could find!

That evening we played with giant bubbles on the new back deck!

As we walked the next evening the daytime heating of summer brought thunderheads and storms to the area.

Independence Day began brilliantly blue, with a flyover before the Fairfax Parade.

This biwing train waiting for the parade to start was too cute!
