As much as we enjoy SeaWorld nextdoor to our home, my memories of how SeaWorld used to be, including enjoying a John Denver concert, come to mind.
When they were quite young, I found a terrific article in a woman’s magazine about how to easily make gingerbread villages with graham crackers.
The door was shut to block outside sound, the theme song cheerfully played and the voices of Kris, Connie and Whit sounded as we read our parts.
Mesmerized by pictures that stick to a board, they played with the felt figures themselves…a sensory integration activity that grew creativity.
And then spring sprung in our Texas gardens, when the amaryllis bulbs from my mom’s garden bloomed, and again in summer with blue plumbago, cannas, gladiolas.
And then we moved back to San Antonio where we bought our first house to call our own. I can’t wait to create a French inspired Texas Hill Country appearance!
Counseled by my daughter’s occupational therapist to teach her cursive, not print, in kindergarten, I learned lots of tips that wroked beautifully.
Beginning our homeschool journey with the support of our pediatrician, when everyone else voiced concerns.
