James Armistead Lafayette - Teacups in the Garden

Established in 1693, the College of William and Mary feted Lafayette on October 20, 1824 with a special surprise while on his Grand Tour of America.

After welcoming Lafayette 1824 style the day before, we returned to Yorktown for the big parade celebrating the French-American Alliance victory.

At the end of the day when I plugged in my code from my lanyard, I found a surveillance video of my cautiously walking through Berlin. 😉

One of the amazing things I’ve discovered has been Lafayette’s goal for freedom for all people, which grew his work in the abolitionist movement.
