18th Century Virginia Musings
Shortly after moving into my apartment last autumn, I happily began working in my new little sewing room filled with bright lights.
After stashbusting my quilt fabrics with 26 quilt tops, I packed them by season into opaque plastic bins for the move to my new home.
Thinking the fabric would pair well with my pale pink embroidered capri pants, I imagined its cuteness on journeys out and about with vintage flair.
Envisioning a light and airy sundress for an Independence Day picnic, I attempted to enlarge a small pattern and update the old style to vintage flair.
From practical stash busting and usage for packing in a future move, these will also add lovely vintage flair while out and about.
Since I wanted to use one of my favorite fabrics for something I could wear on any day, I chose a remnant I’ve always loved to practice my couture sewing.
Enjoying the buttons that came with the picnic and glamping rows, I further embellished the quilt from my ribbon and button collections.
