To my complete surprise, one of the first things I saw while window shopping was a pair of Dorothy’s ruby slippers from the orginal Wizard of Oz movie!
After checking into our hotel in Washington DC, we walked on…City sidewalks dressed in holiday style to the White House to see all the outdoor decorations.
Bringing our traditions of hot cocoa and sugar cookies while watching The Homecoming, we added the adventure of chopping down a Christmas tree, like John Boy.
Each year, these Christmas wreaths are laid at all the military cemeteries across America, through an organization called Wreaths Across America.
Near the tree comes the charming sound of clickety clacks and choo-choos from a fun train display set in Norway, another gift from the embassy.
Parking at Union Station, we walked through the lobby where we discovered an amazing train display gifted by the Norwegian Embassy!
