The scenery for this vineyard on the Monticello Wine Trail was everything I hoped for: stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, vineyards, and flowers!

After I sewed a 1957 Horrockses dress in vintage turquoise and red, I sewed another with pink roses on cream, which I wore to a photo shoot in the Blue Ridge.
From young to much older to in-between…lovers were smooching here and there…cozy-ing up to each other..while my son softly played the violin.
Bringing our traditions of hot cocoa and sugar cookies while watching The Homecoming, we added the adventure of chopping down a Christmas tree, like John Boy.

In his retirement, Henry relocated his family from Scotchtown near Richmond, to Red Hill in western Virginia, where he had Blue Ridge vistas to enjoy.
Part of the fun is discovering new quilt shops while enjoying lovely scenery, smelling the roses, and enjoying patio lunches…staycation-style!
The entrance road is right before Michie Tavern and goes up, up, up, winding, twisting, curving, switchback roads through a dense, lush forest.
