Hiking a new trail to some waterfalls and beyond, how high would we go? With a day this great, we expected to see many lovely views.
With rain showers looming, we spent the afternoon walking around Bear Lake while exploring with a field trip booklet I had purchased at the book shop.
We spread most of our time among a couple of hikes, visiting gorgeous waterfalls, taking the main road over the mountains, and taking in all the elk.
For miles we saw a patchwork quilt of tans and greens on the ground far, far below. Overcome by the view, we sang America, the Beautiful.
