After leaving the Amtrack Auto Train in Sanford with my car, we drove to our hotel in Orlando.
Joining colleagues for a conference at the Rosen Centre Hotel, we experienced several of the eateries at this massive venue.
After four days of running to various meetings and events, I was wiped out, especially since I didn’t get any sleep on the train on the way down.
On Sunday we enjoyed worship with some of our friends, then said our goodbyes…but we stayed behind.
It was my birthday, with an entire day ahead of us, so we walked to a nearby location for brunch, then walked around the gardens of the hotel.
For my birthday treat, my husband dropped me off at the Rosen Centre Spa, which was the most luxurious spa I had ever seen.
I had my own locker area to change and store my stuff.
Since I chose a tropical scrub treatment, the masseuse entered with a tray of the lovely ingredients that would be used in the session.
Tropical floral scents, Tahitian vanilla, etc wafted through the room!
Afterwards my skin felt dewy soft and relaxed.
Since I endure lots of stress headaches and back pain, I’ve had quite a few massages…and this was absolutely the best!
After a sauna treatment, I relaxed with a glass of wine.
Then I showered with their lovely scented shampoos and soaps.
After all that luxury, I rejoined my husband to sit by the pool where we relaxed while reading our books.
After a nice dinner out that evening, I was glad to fall asleep early and catch up on some rest for the adventures the next day.
